Direction and priorities
Where is the business heading, and what needs attention now? I help clarify options, challenge assumptions and connect ambitions with what the business can realistically deliver.
A board should ask good questions, challenge the direction and support management in the decisions that shape the business.
Let’s have a conversationThrough Schandorph Management, Henning Lunn Schandorph works with owners and management teams as a board member, advisor and sounding board. More than 35 years in technology — from small local businesses to some of the largest global companies — brings experience of both developing a business and making decisions work in practice.
My background also includes starting several businesses, co-ownership and board roles. That brings an understanding of working with many opportunities, limited resources and decisions whose consequences you feel directly.

I bring experience of developing business models, customer relationships and partnerships. That includes large organisations and smaller businesses, where a new partnership can make a significant difference to what comes next.
My technical background allows me to contribute to discussions about digital products, platforms and IT investments, making the important questions clear to the whole board. What will the business gain? What are the risks? And what will it take from the organisation?
Change depends on the people who put it into practice. I bring experience of leading and working across disciplines, companies and countries, with attention to roles, skills and the relationships that make cooperation work.
I value clear agreements and information the board can use to make decisions. We need to be able to follow progress, spot problems early and adjust course when circumstances change.
Starting and developing your own businesses gives you a particular understanding of responsibility and priorities.
I know the work involved in turning an idea into a business, and the ongoing choices about products, customers, partners and how to spend time and money.
Most recently, I spent four years as a co-owner and board member of a digital business that developed from a mainly consumer-facing business towards a stronger B2B and B2B2C model. Along the way, we worked on new partnerships, investments in the platform and app, and a more robust commercial foundation.
It was a shared effort by employees, management and the board. I take that experience forward alongside many years of working with leadership, strategy and major change.
My approach is straightforward, built on trust, open dialogue and respect for different areas of expertise. I listen, ask questions and speak my mind, including when the subject is difficult.
I come prepared and take an active interest in the business and its people. I value a close, constructive working relationship with management and clarity about my role and responsibilities.
